A novelty launched in the first half of 2020 to improve Brazilian Foreign Trade, the new import process has several improvements for all stages, from cargo control to the payment of taxes and follow-up actors.
And one of the improvements is the module called LPCO ("Licenses, Permits, Certificates and Other Documents"). It is a module that was already in use in Export since the implementation of DU-E (Single Export Declaration) and that is now also integrated with the Single Import Declaration (DUIMP).
To explain how the LPCO document is filled out in the Import, we have separated a simple and practical tutorial to facilitate this step.
But first, know which items are part of the new import process
Items of the New Import Process:
Before in the new format, drafting the new Import License took more time. Now, in only 5 steps you can fill out the License and this facility is also due to the data from the Product Catalog module previously registered, which are used in this step.
Step 1: LPCO Menu -> include Order
Access the Siscomex Portal Import module. -> click on the LPCO Menu and then on Include Order.
Step 2: Consenting Organ -> Model
Select a "Consenting Body" and the corresponding "LPCO Model".
Then click the "Proceed" button, as shown above.
*In this tutorial, we use the "International Control Drugs" model.
NOTE: If you have any questions, please read: What consent do I need for my import?
Step 3: Basic Data
In this model, the Anuente Organ is Anvisa. The next step is to select the importer's CNPJ, the Registration Number of the medicine before Anvisa and then select the product in the "Add Item" button.
Step 4: Select the Product through the Product Catalog Module
Click "Add Item". The Single Portal will automatically open the Product Catalog filter screen for you to locate the item.
Choose the Item from the filtered products. Check the image below:
*If the item is not yet registered in the Product Catalog Module, click "Include".
After selecting the item, the next step is to add the Country of Origin.
IMPORTANT: It is worth remembering that it is possible to link more than one item in the LPCO.
After filling this in, click the "Register" button.
Step 5: Register the LPCO
After registration, the LPCO number will appear, as well as an access key. The Status will be pending analysis.
Okay, now just wait for your LPCO Import approval. As you can see, the process is well simplified and intuitive.
