We communicate that the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply, based on the Normative Instructions MAPA 39/2017 and 46/2016, has initiated a pilot project for analysis and remote approval of bulk mineral fertilizer import processes. Among the products object of this project are mineral fertilizers and agricultural correctives of non-organic nature, in bulk (including containers in big bags) and destined to industry as raw material, such as urea, potassium chloride, MAP - monoammonium phosphate, DAP - diammonium phosphate, sulfur, among others.
In this project, this cargo category will be framed in an intermediate inspection procedure (better known as the yellow channel) in which there will be the obligatory documental analysis and, for the cases in which no inconformities are found, such cargoes will be exempt from inspection, conference and sanitary, phytosanitary and quality inspection.
We would like to remind you that containerized fertilizer imports by the Port of Paranaguá represent about 70% of the national volume and TCP, with pride, in addition to conducting operations with excellence, actively contributed to this pilot project being implemented by MAPA.
TCP's estimate is for a shorter nationalisation time and consequently a reduction in the costs of the logistics chain of this important segment. TCP's Commercial Team has customized solutions for fertilizer operations, especially cross docking operations and return management of the empty container already decontaminated.
